Star SU/ Northern Tool (Warren, MI) relocates to newly renovated facility

In order to improve efficiency Northern Tool Sales & Service Co., formerly located in Warren, MI, has relocated its sales and service operations to Farmington Hills, MI.

The CTG-3 tool and cutter grinder, the newest innovation from Star Machine Tools, features a small foot print for manufacturing or reconditioning cutting tools, part programming through NUMROTOplus Software, flexibility via a three-station HSK grinding wheel pack and coolant manifold change system.  An auto loading system is also available for unattended operation.

Tool and cutter grinder has six-station wheel pack changer

Engineered to profitably manufacture complex cutting tools the Star PTG-6 tool and cutter grinder is a six axis, CNC controlled cutter grinder for grinding, sharpening and reconditioning a wide variety of cutting tools. Manufactured in the U.S.A. and equipped with a six-station wheel pack changer the PTG-6 is built for high productivity and precision.

Rotary cutting tools improve productivity, quality, and lower costs

V-tec™ veined rotary cutting tools are PCD-coated using a special, ultra-high pressure and high-temperature process that allows  end mills and drills to be offered in true solid-body helical geometries that are free of braze joints, making it possible to machine highly abrasive, advanced materials where conventional end mills fail.
